Lighting Bootcamp is an intensive shooting workshop, designed for up to 16 people.  It is small class, featuring personalized, hands-on instruction designed to progress you very quickly into the world of possibilities that comes with being a lighting photographer.

Students are required to bring their own camera, mid-range focal length lens and memory card. Wireless remotes are provided for this workshop, so that we may all work together—and separately—in the same room as needed.

We'll start by making sure everyone understands f/stops and shutter speeds and how they relate to lighting. No one gets left behind. From there, we'll move into basic lighting techniques, then progress into balancing flash with ambient light. You'll also learn how to create more subtle and evocative light through on-axis fill techniques and working with gels.

We'll work in an environment of small teams, so you are never truly trying to solve a problem all alone. By the end of the day, you'll have a solid understanding of basic lighting techniques and how to apply them to your own goals as a photographer.
